Privacy Policy

This website, vahinipipes.com, is run by Vahini Polytech Industries Pvt. Ltd. ("Vahini", "we", "us"), a manufacturer of pipes, fittings and water storage tanks based in Tumakuru, Karnataka, India.

This policy explains what personal information the website collects, why, who handles it, and the choices you have. For that information Vahini is the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The policy applies to this website only, not to dealings you have with Vahini or its dealers in other ways.

The website collects very little, and nothing unless you choose to send it, apart from the technical details every website receives.

• The enquiry form: your name, your phone number, what you are enquiring about and your message. You may also give your city, your company, your email address and the products you are interested in.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp: if you contact us using the details on this website, we receive what you send, including a CV and anything in it if you apply for work.
• Technical details: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time. Our hosting provider records these in its server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. The enquiry form also uses your IP address for a short time to stop repeated or automated submissions; that check does not keep it.

We do not ask for financial details, government identity numbers, health information or passwords. Please do not put them in a message.

We use what you send only for the reason you sent it:

• to answer your enquiry, by phone, email or WhatsApp
• to consider a request to become a dealer or distributor
• to consider an application for work
• to keep the website secure and stop misuse of the form
• to meet a legal obligation, where one applies

By sending the form or contacting us you consent to this use. We do not add you to a marketing list, we do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.

The website has no database of enquiries. When you send the form, the website turns it into an email and delivers it to Vahini's customer care mailbox. From then on it is kept as business email.

The form is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Inside Vahini, enquiries are read by the staff who answer them. We take reasonable care to protect this information, but no method of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot promise that it is.

We keep an enquiry for as long as it takes to deal with it and with any business that follows from it, and after that only for as long as the law requires business records to be kept. A CV is kept for the hiring it was sent for, unless you ask us to keep it for later openings.

Server logs and email delivery records are kept by the companies that provide those services for a limited period under their own settings.

We share personal information only with companies that provide a service we need to run this website and answer you, and only for that purpose:

• the website's hosting provider (Vercel)
• the service that delivers the enquiry email (Resend)
• the provider of Vahini's business email (Microsoft)
• Google, for the map on the Contact page, as described under Cookies and analytics

Some of these companies process information on servers outside India. We may also disclose information when the law, a court or a government authority requires it. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

You may ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information of yours we hold and what we have done with it
• correct it, complete it or bring it up to date
• delete it
• stop using it, by withdrawing your consent

Write to customercare@vahinipipes.com with "Privacy request" in the subject, from the email address or phone number you used, so that we can find your enquiry and confirm it is yours. We will act on a request within 30 days. Deleting an enquiry or withdrawing consent means we can no longer answer it. We may keep information the law requires us to keep.

You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not follow you across other websites.

It stores one small flag in your browser's session storage so that the opening logo animation plays once per tab and not on every page. The flag holds no personal information and is removed when you close the tab.

The Contact page shows a map provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. If you would rather avoid this, the address on that page is also given as text.

If we add analytics or any other cookie in future, this policy will be updated before it is switched on.

This website is for trade and professional visitors and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us theirs, write to us and we will delete it.

This website links to other websites and services, including social media and Google Maps. Their owners decide what they collect and how they use it. This policy does not cover them.

We may change this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
